You deserve to have a Representative who listens, understands the key issues and has a proven record of collaboration within the community.
For the past 12 years, I have served as a Planning Chair, Council Member and Parks Chair; working with people from all sides. I will serve the people, families, students, organizations and small businesses that make up our great district.
I will use my proven business, leadership and community experience to rebuild the economy, advocate for our students, address mental health, support public safety, protect our area resources, cut wasteful spending, lower taxes and implement policies that raise up everyone in the District.
If we haven't had a chance to speak, please reach out to me directly at 612-615-8444. A conversation can go a long way to improve our community.
The past few years families and businesses have really struggled. I will work to lower taxes helping families get back on their feet but also balance the funding to maintain our traditions and grow for the future. We need to do more to retain and bring in new people to Minnesota.
I will hold government agencies accountable, and work to eliminate waste and fraud of your hard-earned tax dollars like I did as a City Council member. I will work to ensure your tax dollars help the community and build for the future. Organizations like the Westonka Food Shelf need support for our community.
As a small business owner for over 15 years, I will work diligently to restore our businesses and employment by promoting business growth and removing those increasing barriers to entry. I am honored to be the only candidate endorsed by the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.
I will work to ensure public safety for you, your family in Minnesota. I will work to build better relationships between the public and law enforcement. I am endorsed by the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association and will continue supporting and working with them to ensure safe communities. I will also stand up against legislation that puts your safety at risk.
I will fight to protect seniors' health and personal safety, as well as bring forward legislation to protect our children. We need to look at reducing or removing the tax on social security and restore needed tax cuts for nursing homes. We also need to make sure our children are protected and cared for.
I will also ensure curriculum's are focused on closing the education gap and prepare our children for college, vocational training or the work force. I will fight for funding, and make sure our schools have the resources they need to be successful.
As a prior City Council Member, I have first hand experience about cities infrastructure needs. Our campaign will work closely with each member city to ensure aging infrastructure is reviewed, inventoried, repaired and/or replaced. I will also work to grow our park systems.
As the current Parks Chair for Tonka Bay, my goal for the last 10 years has been to promote and protect area resources and lakes including Lake Minnetonka, Lake Langdon and other area lakes and rivers. I will fight for safe, accessible drinking water for Minnesota.
As a father, I have seen the need for better mental health opportunities for our kids. No child should be left to deal with mental health struggles alone and our campaign is working with local school districts, state-wide organizations, parents and teachers to provide better options for our children.
We all agree that access to voting is a must. I have worked directly with Mayors, City Council Members and City Administrators to open additional polling stations, so voters like you have the opportunity to cast your ballot. That work underscores my commitment to our electoral process. But most would agree that there are always opportunities for improvement. And I am committed to working with all parties to implement improvements that we can all agree will result in an election system that promotes and protects your right to vote, every time in a fair, accessible, and equal manner.
The Minnesota Supreme Court has ruled that Minnesotans have a Constitutional right to an abortion. We know the legislature must respect and follow the court’s decision. To the extent that questions outside the constitutionally protected right to choose are considered, I will work to find common ground and support exceptions for challenging and heartbreaking situations as well as investing in our children and families with child care and paid family leave. There is no one size fits all approach. While people may differ personally, we all must show compassion to each other and work together towards solutions that a majority of Minnesotans agree with.
My campaign is about connecting with you the voter to ensure your voices are heard. We have already knocked on over 15,000 houses and made 20,000 phone calls. When elected, I will be holding office hours in district, so you don't have to travel to St. Paul to meet with your elected official. Representing Your Backyard means working for you and making myself accessible. Your voice is important and my phone is always on (612-615-8444).
