During these challenging times, I believe our citizens deserve to have a House Representative who has their best interests at heart, understands the key issues and is present. I will put the women, men, families, students, people and businesses of District 33B first and use my business experience and leadership skills to rebuild the economy, advocate for our students, cut wasteful spending, lower taxes and implement policies that raise up everyone in the district.
The COVID-19 crisis has devastated families and businesses. I will oppose any tax increases that ask those who have already sacrificed so much to pay even more. I will work to lower taxes—not raise them—helping businesses and families get back on their feet. We will not pay for the mistakes made downtown.
I will hold government agencies accountable, and work to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse of your hard-earned tax dollars like I did as a City Council member. We need someone that has cracked down on overspending and has held the government and elected officials accountable for irresponsible spending.
I will work diligently to restore our area businesses and employment by promoting business growth and removing those increasing barriers to entry and PPP taxes that Kelly Morrison Supported. I will ensure that you run your business and the government does not. Supporting small businesses will be one of my top priorities.
I will protect your individual, family and business rights that have been restricted by the Government. Unlike Kelly Morrison, I was endorsed by the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association and will continue supporting and working with them to ensure safe communities. I will also stand up against legislation to remove qualified immunity for our dedicated law enforcement officers.
I will fight to protect seniors' health and personal safety. Kelly Morrison voted against restoring nursing home tax cuts and reducing the taxes of Minnesota seniors.
I will also fight to reopen all schools safely and ensure curriculums are focused on closing the education gap. I will fight for fair funding, and make sure our outstanding West Metro schools have the resources they need to be successful, along with your right of school choice. Kelly Morrison supported an education bill that prioritized Minneapolis/St. Paul schools over schools in her own community .
As many of you know, Kelly Morrison ran as a moderate, but she voted in lock-step with an extreme agenda that simply doesn’t fit our District. She voted for more than $12 billion in tax hikes, harmful cuts to nursing facilities, and bills that would raise energy and medical costs for every family in our district. She voted for an education bill that favored Minneapolis and Saint Paul over District 33B Schools. She failed to stand up for our students and police; resulting in students being harmed and public safety concerns on the rise by defunding the police.
It’s time for new leadership that actually cares about people and not power.
